We made it about ten minutes before the rain started, so we went home, built a blanket fort and watched films instead. The children thought it was an excellent improvement to the original plan!

Has anyone done anything nice for the bank holiday? We went on a bike ride, got a bit wet but my daughter loves muddy puddles so it was a good day 😀

We stopped using paper altogether for a while and did everything out loud or on the whiteboard — maths while walking, spellings in the bath. He didn’t notice he was learning, which was rather the point.
