Twelve years in and I still occasionally get that worried feeling of, “Am I giving him the best opportunities?” I don’t think it ever completely goes away.

It does get easier, although I still have the odd wobble after five years! I find it helps to look back over a whole month rather than judging individual days. You usually realise they have covered far more than you thought.

Yesterday mine spent most of the afternoon making a den and arguing about how to stop the roof falling in 😂 No written work at all, but plenty of planning, measuring, problem solving and negotiation!

Anyone else find the holidays a nightmare? I probably sound awful 🙈 but I can’t wait for the children to go back to school so we can enjoy our normal routine and activities without the crowds!!!

You don’t sound awful at all. Our usual groups stop for the holidays and everywhere else is packed, so our whole routine disappears for six weeks.
