How community events work
Anyone in the community — parent or provider — can post an event. Here's the journey from idea to meetup.
Post your event
Give it a title, pick a type, set the dates and times, drop the exact location and add a photo of the coffee shop or park so people know what to look for.
It goes live straight away
No waiting for approval — your event appears on the calendar the moment you publish it. Every event carries a report button, and anything flagged by three members is hidden automatically while the LifeLearn team takes a look.
The community turns up
Families find your event by area, type or search, share the pinned location with one tap, and you can edit dates or times any time from your dashboard.
Got something worth meeting up for?
A walk, a workshop, a coffee morning — if your family would go, another family would too. Put it on the calendar.
Add a community event
Give your event a title.
Tell us what kind of event it is.
Every type has its own calendar colour, so the calendar stays easy to scan.
Comma-separated — helps families find this event in search.
Add the organisers' name.
A booking page, group chat or provider page.
Tap a start day, then drag or tap the end day.
Pick a start date.
The end date can't be before the start date.
Pick a start time.
The end time must be after the start time.
Tell people where to meet.
Paste a Share link from Google Maps and the venue, map and pin are filled in for you.
Add an address or postcode so the pin lands in the right place.
Standing at the meeting spot? One tap fills the pin, the map and the address — handy for a park bench or a specific entrance.
Fine-tune with a Google Maps link (optional)
In the Google Maps app: press and hold to drop a pin, tap Share, copy the link.
That doesn't look like a maps link — paste the full link from the Share button.
JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB
Something went wrong sending your event — please try again in a moment.
You can edit dates, times and details from your dashboard at any point. If anything needs a second look, the LifeLearn team may follow up.
